I am originally from Anderson, SC and have lived in Rolesville for the past ten years. Many years ago, I earned a BS in Textile Management from Clemson University and a Masters of Textile Technology from The Institute of Textile Technology in Charlottesville, VA. I worked in the textile industry for fourteen years before returning to college and earning my K-6 teaching certification from Southern Wesleyan University in Central, SC. Over the past ten years, I have taught 4th, 5th and 6th grade in the Wake County Public School System. I have been married 24 years to an amazing woman named Kim, an Instructional Coach with Western Carolina University. We are blessed with two incredible daughters, Hannah, who attends Appalachian State University and Sarah, a junior at Wake Early College of Health and Sciences. We also have two Weimaraners, Sam and Daisy. Last year, my family took a "trip of lifetime" and visited the Grand Five National Parks in Utah and we made a stop at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. I could talk for HOURS about it when you have time.
In my free time, I enjoy backpacking, kayaking, running, reading, and perfecting my home brewed coffee.
